The MWBE Regional Opportunities Expo brings together New York State agencies, authorities and prime contractors with a significant presence throughout the state to provide MWBEs with information on contracting opportunities. This year marks the first time the Expo will be held at the Javits Center. MWBEs will have the opportunity to network with state procurement officers, MWBE liaisons and private companies, allowing them to promote their business services and build meaningful relationships.

Attendees can also meet privately with representatives of select economic development projects during live matchmaking sessions, creating opportunities for productive discussions and potential contract connections.

New this year, the Expo will spotlight high growth industries and business development topics relevant to the small business community. Topics include access to capital, the state’s efforts to eliminate red tape and bureaucratic obstacles, and new opportunities in clean energy and sustainability.

In Fiscal Year 2024-25, New York State disbursed $3.3 billion in payments to MWBEs, the highest MWBE utilization spending in the program’s history, and achieved a statewide utilization rate of more than 30% for the fifth consecutive year.

The 2026 New York State MWBE Regional Opportunities Expo will also feature:

• Live Matchmaking where MWBEs can speak directly with decision makers and learn about contract opportunities that align with their businesses.
• MWBE Opportunities Showcase featuring presentations on state projects, scopes of work and ways MWBEs can get involved.
• Workshops and Panels covering topics such as access to capital, emerging industries and economic development opportunities across the state.
• Networking Opportunities with state agencies, private companies and local organizations where MWBEs can make connections, share information about their businesses and build meaningful partnerships
