We negotiate labor agreements with local trades; lobby local, state and federal governments to secure capital funding and beneficial laws; disperse information about public and private bid lettings and awards; educate industry members on latest requirements of laws, rules and regulations effecting daily operations; and provide many networking opportunities for members.

Labor Relations

CIC acts as the bargaining agent on behalf of its members with a number of heavy/highway unions.

State And Local Lobbying

Represented by more than 25 New York State legislators in the CIC/BCA’s region, creates powerful opportunities to shape legislative decisions made at the state level that impact the construction industry.

DOT/Thruway Authority Liaison

CIC meets regularly with top officials at the New York State Department of Transportation and Thruway Authority to review letting programs, specifications and legislative matters.

Safety Outreach
