Rough Roads

Hudson Valley (NYSDOT Region 8) has had the worst road and bridge conditions in New York State for over ten years. In 2023 crumbling roads and pot holes cost New York State drivers $8.7 billion – an average of $715 per driver – in repair, fuel, and wear and tear. The crumbling roads also pose a serious safety risk for drivers who swerve to avoid hitting potholes. This video contains just a few of the rough roads we experienced recently in Westchester and Putnam counties.
