Rick DeNicola of J. Fletcher Creamer & Son Joins CIC Association’s Board of Directors

TARRYTOWN, NY— Rick DeNicola, Vice President of Operations of J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc., was elected to the Board of Directors of the Construction Industry Council at its quarterly meeting on June 26 in Westchester. The announcement was made by John Cooney, Jr., who is the executive director of the association with headquarters here in Tarrytown.

Mr. DeNicola has been part of the Creamer enterprises, serving in numerous capacities for nearly 35 years following his graduation from college. During his early career, he primarily supervised paving and restoration for multiple utility companies.

In 1994 he was reassigned and promoted to superintendent at Creamer where he expanded his project management responsibilities to include utility, water main rehabilitation and heavy highway projects. His demonstrated ability to multi-task, along with his strong leadership skills, earned him a promotion to general superintendent in 2007.

At that time his responsibilities included responding to all emergency work 24/7 throughout New York and New Jersey. He also supervised water main cleaning and lining projects throughout the United States. Mr. DeNicola was promoted to operations manager in 2014, where he oversaw all facets of utility and heavy construction projects. Two years later he was promoted to his current position, Vice President of Operations, where he leads the company’s construction and fleet operations.

He has supervised numerous major utility and heavy highway construction projects—among the most memorable being his supervision of the reconstruction of the Route 4 and Route 17 Interchange in Paramus, NJ, the United Water New Rochelle NYDEP Shaft 22 Interconnection, and the construction of the United Water Toms River Berkley Treatment Plant.

Mr. DeNicola has always recognized safety as a critical component in the construction industry and a priority at Creamer. He provides executive leadership on the Creamer Safety Committee and has had extensive OSHA safety training, including 10 Hour OSHA Construction Safety, 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety, OSHA 40 Hour HazWoper, OSHA Competent Person Training, and CPR. He has also rounded out his training with the Tunneling Short Course at the Colorado School of Mines.

As an executive in the construction industry, Mr. DeNicola plays an active role in numerous professional and community organizations, including serving as a member of the Bergen County 200 Club and as a Trustee for the Teamster’s Local 560 Welfare and Pension Fund.

Mr. DeNicola graduated in 1991 from the State University of New York with an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology. He resides in Harrington Park NJ with his wife of 28 years and their daughter and son.
