Audrey Zibelman Appointed Chair of NYSERDA Board of Directors
ALBANY—New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Aug. 19 the appointment of Audrey Zibelman as chair of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Board of Directors.
“I am pleased to appoint Audrey Zibelman, a world-renowned energy expert, as NYSERDA Board Chair, a selection that will continue the state’s strong leadership in the clean energy transition,” said Gov. Hochul. “Audrey’s familiarity with New York’s energy system and its policies, as well as her previous contributions as chair of the New York State Public Service Commission, make her the ideal person to provide the guidance we need to continue to pursue an all of the above energy approach that serves all New Yorkers.”
Ms. Zibelman has more than 35 years of legal, regulatory, operations, government and governance leadership experience in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Australia. She served as managing director and CEO of the Australian Energy Market Operator, chair of the New York State Public Service Commission, executive vice president of PJM, founder and CEO of Viridity Energy and an executive at Xcel Energy. Her most recent operating role was as a vice president and adviser to X, formerly known as Google’s Moonshot Factory.
Ms. Zibelman currently is chair of the Board of Landis & Gyr, a global advanced metering company, and is a member of the boards of directors of Squadron Energy, an Australian renewable energy company, and EWEC, the Emirates Water and Electricity Company. She also is co-chair of the Pew Charitable Trusts Advisory Council on DER adoption, a strategic adviser to Alvarez & Marsal and an adviser to Aligned Climate Capital.
Previously, Ms. Zibelman was an appointed member of President Biden’s National Infrastructure Advisory Council and the Department of Energy’s Electric Advisory Committee. She has also served on regional and national boards responsible for reliability and the energy transition in the United States and Australia.
Ms. Zibelman’s appointment was confirmed by the New York State Senate on June 4, 2026.
Antonia Junelind Appointed CFO for Skanska’s USA Civil Operations
NEW YORK—Skanska, a leading global construction and development firm, announced the appointment of Antonia Junelind as chief financial officer of its USA Civil operations, effective Jan. 1, 2027. Junelind will succeed Jari Mäntylä as part of a longer-term leadership transition as Mäntylä shifts his focus to leading strategic initiatives for Skanska USA Civil while looking ahead to his future retirement. Junelind and Mäntylä will work closely together in the months ahead to ensure a smooth transition.
“Antonia brings a global perspective and a strong understanding of Skanska that will be valuable as we continue to grow,” said Don Fusco, president and CEO, Skanska USA Civil. “She brings tremendous energy, curiosity and a strong work ethic, along with a willingness to get into the details and do what it takes to move the business forward. Her experience and perspective will be valuable to our leadership team, and I believe she is a natural fit for USA Civil.”
Ms. Junelind brings more than 15 years of experience with Skanska spanning finance, investor relations, transactions and business development. She currently serves as senior vice president of investor relations for Skanska AB and has also served as acting senior vice president of corporate finance and control. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles within Skanska’s Commercial Property Development operations and Skanska Financial Services, as well as an international assignment with Skanska UK.
Mr. Mäntylä joined Skanska Finland as chief financial officer in 2010 before relocating to the U.S. in 2016 to become chief financial officer for Skanska’s USA Civil unit. During his tenure, he has helped strengthen the financial performance of the business and worked closely with operational leaders and project teams to bring financial insight and discipline to business decisions.

His ability to make complex financial issues understandable has made him an invaluable partner to our operations and leadership team. We’re fortunate that his experience and leadership will remain with Skanska USA Civil as we make this transition.”
Ms. Junelind and Mr. Mäntylä will work closely together in the months ahead to ensure a smooth transition, the company said in a press announcement.
